Use: This fertilizer/herbicide combination is for use on Kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass, tall fescue, and fine fescue (creeping red fescue, chewings fescue, and hard fescue). Not recommended for use on seed mixtures that contain more than 20% fine fescue, by weight. This includes the SS6000 Shady Mixture.

Apply whenever you plant the seed, either a new lawn or overseeding an existing lawn. Spread the fertilizer in the final step of the seeding/overseeding process. Apply at a rate of 4.3 lbs/1000 sq ft. Cover the entire area in two directions to insure adequate herbicide coverage to prevent crabgrass germination.

Fertilizer: The Starter fertilizer component of this combination product is a homogenous particle (all elements are in every particle) with a very small particle size to insure maximum dispersal across the seeded area. It has a SGN* rating of 135 (*Size Guide Number - the diameter of the fertilizer granules expressed as millimeters X 100 ). SGN's range from 80 (extremely fine) to 400 (extremely large).

Mesotione is in of a new class of weed killers discovered by a research scientist working for Sygenta in 1977. He noticed that few weeds grew underneath the bottlebrush plant in his garden. He collected a soil sample and took it to his lab where he discovered a natural herbicidal substance secreted by the bottlebrush plant called Leptospermone that suppressed other plants from growing.

Manufactures of the highest quality fertilizer and chemical injection pumps Manufacturer of water treatment equipment specializing in fertigation and pH correction as well as EC and pH monitors. Since 1955, H.E. Anderson Company has been producing the most reliable and accurate chemical pumps in the horticulture industry. Each product is proudly manufactured in the USA. Anderson Injectors are world renowned for their reliability, accuracy and unmatched quality. Many customers have Anderson Injectors that are still operating after 30 years. Broadcasting of a granular fertilizer, mixing in a controlled release fertilizer (CRF) at shift, fertigation or a combination are normally our options at the nursery or greenhouse. Broadcasting via buggy, Vhopper or belly grinding of a fertilizer are methods we all have used. Grain or grass crops in a field are examples. We have also applied broadcast fertilizers over the top of rows, beds and pots. Certainly these products and methods are better than not.

Single Solution throughout FacilityIf only one or at least very few solutions will be used at the facility then the injection system should be located downstream of where the water source enters the facility but upstream of where the pipes branch out to go to individual benches. Systems should always be installed into a bypass so the equipment can be isolated for service and water can continue to be supplied to zones if the injector malfunctions.

Multiple Systems Centrally LocatedThere are many advantages to centrally locating injection systems. It is easier to install more flexible piping, fertilizer and chemicals are all located in one room, there is only one location to perform injector maintenance, it is easier to control access to systems and multiple zones can be supplied with one system. Downsides include the length of pipe between the injector and the zone and a lack of redundancy if only one system is responsible for an entire facility. Injectors must be sized for the maximum number of zones or flow rate that it could possibly experience. Figure 4 shows how irrigation systems can be plumbed when all injection systems are located in one area.

In the 1950s, the company expanded its grain terminals. It also opened its first retail store known as The Andersons Warehouse Market. Andersons began fertilizer blending and then corn milling as well.[10]

In the 1980s, continuing the growth of the 70s, The Andersons opened a liquid fertilizer facility on the Maumee River, retail stores in Toledo and Columbus, more grain elevators in Indiana and Michigan, and fertilizer facilities in Delphi, Poneto, and Dunkirk, Indiana, as well as Webberville, Michigan. The company also formed The Andersons Management Corporation.[10]

This is a slow-release fertilizer that feeds approximately .10 lbs of N/1,000 sqft../week to extend the duration of a dark green grass. Our EarthWay Turf Scientist and former golf course superintendent selected this blend because of its 2% Iron (Fe) and 1% Manganese (Mn). These nutrients give a rich green color in summer where the store-bought fertilizers popular brands do not. Maintains a rich green color all summer with slow release nitrogen to provide uniform growth with extended nitrogen feeding up to 10-12 weeks.

This well-balanced fertilizer restores cool-season turf from the damage received during the dog days of summer. This product feeds approximately .10 lbs of N/1,000 sqft./week. This is considered one of the most important applications for cool-season grasses and builds a foundation for strong fall turf. Feeds for up to 10 weeks depending on watering events, rain/irrigation.

5-0-0 Soil Mastery is a granular bio-stimulant designed to enhance your regular fertilizer applications. It will condition your soil, add carbon and bio-stimulants, and improve the overall health of your soil over time. Because it also has some N and Fe in it, you will also see a slight visual result a few days following an application.

However, this farm price is about 20 to 30 per cent above the international price. That is, fertilizer manufacturers are enjoying a nominal rate of protection of more than 50 per cent. The fertilizer "subsidy" is really a mechanism by which taxpayers help farmers bear the direct cost of that protection. It involves large government outlays though, which the government would like to phase out. One option is to remove the "subsidy" which would force farmers to carry the full direct cost of that protection. Another option is to lower the rate of protection to fertilizer manufacturers. This paper provides estimates of the price changes required to eliminate government outlays under these alternative circumstances. It also quantifies the effects of such changes on fertilizer production and us

Technical Abstract: Spatial variation in soil water content and drainage due to differences in soil physical properties may lead to higher soil N loss, primarily through leaching and gaseous losses, and lower N fertilizer use efficiency. This research investigated the concept of variable source N fertilizer application in which slow-release N fertilizer was applied to areas in a field which have higher probability of N loss and conventional N fertilizer was applied to areas with a low risk of N loss. The objectives of this study were to determine methods to delineate and map areas in fields which are more vulnerable to N loss due to wet conditions and to examine the use of a variable-source strategy to optimize crop N fertilizer use efficiency. Two claypan soil field experiments planted to corn were initiated in 2005, one in north-east and one in north-central Missouri. For the north-east Missouri field treatments consisted of application of 168 kg N ha-1 as broadcast pre-plant urea, polymer-coated urea, a 50% blend of urea and polymer-coated urea, or injected anhydrous ammonia. For the north-central Missouri field treatments consisted of 168 kg N/ha as broadcast pre-plant urea or polymer-coated urea. All N fertilizer treatments were applied on strips over 365 meters in length that included spatial variation in elevation and depth to the claypan layer. Assessment of environmental N loss and fertilizer N efficiency included measurement of soil nitrous oxide flux and crop N recovery. Based on initial results, this presentation will discuss whether variable-source N fertilizer application is an effective management practice to improve crop performance while reducing environmental N losses. 041b061a72
